Can you find Love on the Internet? Possibly, but how long it can last is another question. I can guarantee one thing: you can find a Real Estate Consultant... for Life. And her name is Doreen Baran.

I found Doreen from my office desk in New York City. Faced with the prospect of relocating in a hurry to join my company's branch office in Toronto over the holiday season, I logged on to Yahoo and after patiently going through various websites of Toronto realtors, I finally discovered Doreen's site.

Well, not only did I like the sound of the name Doreen Baran, her website was about as user-friendly as you can get. This realtor seemed like a real professional, I thought, and more than that she seemed like a real person you can talk to.

After getting her phone number from the site and leaving a message, I received a prompt return call from Doreen within a couple of hours. I told her what I was looking for, a nice home by the water, and by the following morning, she had already lined up a long list of choices for me. I was in Toronto over the Christmas weekend and on Christmas Night, Doreen took the time to show me the condo on Queens Quay West where I now live. And it has a wonderful view of the lake which I now enjoy everyday.

Well it didn't end there. Doreen has become one of the best friends I have here in Toronto. You see, I've found that for Doreen, being someone's Real Estate Consultant for Life, is not just a promise of a long term partnership. It actually means being there for her clients through all the ups and downs of what Life throws our way.

Today I am just in awe of Life. I have a challenging new job, a great home in an exciting new city, and a rare, caring, Real Estate Consultant who is also my new friend.

My family and I feel very fortunate to have Doreen as our Realtor lady. Not only did she take LOTS of time to listen to our needs and to address our concerns, but she always encouraged us to keep looking, saying "your house is out there". And so it was. We did have special needs and she did refer to it as looking for a needle in a haystack - and that maybe the needle isn't even there. However, with Doreen's encouragement we really did find what we were looking for. Her work wasn't finished then either. She went through the buying process detail by detail so that we fully understood what would happen when she made an offer. She was on hand when we had the house inspected - this took at least three hours. Doreen then gave us all sorts of 'after purchase' advice, including a list of shops where we could purchase furnishings, paints, kitchen stoves and much more at a little less. We chose the mortgage broker and the lawyer thanks to Doreen who was always there to give advice when necessary (and it was often necessary!).

Signing the Buyer Agency Agreement, gave us a good feeling of security - that Doreen would be there for us in every way possible regarding finding and purchasing a house for the three months mentioned in the contract. Finding a house could easily take that long and we felt protected.

Thank you so very much Doreen. We will very soon be moving into our new home and it's all thanks to you.

Buying Our New Home Was a World-Class Experience !!!

Our Real Estate Consultant, Doreen Baran, took away all of our worries and concerns about buying a new home. Doreen was tireless. She was always available to us at OUR convenience. We were especially impressed with the fact that she would personally answer her phone, no matter when we called. Not once did we ever receive an answering service. She flexed her schedule to accommodate OURS. She kept us motivated when we were ready to give up on "our" home. She was far more confident that this was "our home" than we were. Her encouragement and persistence definitely worked to our advantage. Within one week we had toured our home, taken a second visit, and closed the deal! Here's my story of how Doreen Baran saved the day...

I had a condo downtown, leased for one year and due to expire in March of 2002. I decided that it was time to sell the place, I made some calls and spoke with a few real estate agents, they all advised me that they would not be interested in touching the condo until, either, I broke the lease, or waited until it was 'up'. Consequentially, I gave up on selling for the time being. While surfing the internet one day, I thought I'd see if there were any agents willing to sell a leased condo, providing that the buyer honor the lease until its end. I filled out many automated response forms and sent a few emails...no response...except for Doreen Baran. Doreen responded the next day expressing an interest in representing my sale and also providing me with much useful information about the market.

To make this long story short, Doreen listed my condo on the MLS (I think it was a Thursday) the following Saturday, she had shown it to two people, and, on Sunday night I selected the best offer of the 2, and ended up with more then I had originally asked.

I am very happy I found Doreen Baran...what an amazing lady! I sincerely look forward to working with her again.
